In most cases, gold processing with cyanide leaching, usually with carbon adsorption, is still the core technology and the critical thing is understanding the mineralogy in order to optimise flowsheet selection and cost drivers, and get the best out of the process.
Gold refining methods include chlorination, chemical method, electrolysis, and extraction, among which electrolysis is more widely used. The electrolysis method uses crude gold as the anode, pure gold or titanium plate as the cathode, and the gold-containing aqueous solution as the electrolyte.
