when either of the 2 rear bat-boxes is below half power, the front one will stop outputting power to the quarry, causing the power in all 3 bat-boxes to charge, when the rear ones again rise above half the front one will resume output, at this point it is fully charged as the rear ones wouldn't be above half otherwise.
While the quarry will take up to 100 MJ/t, it runs at maximum speed at 48 MJ/t. Anything above that is just wasted energy. Energy cells are great, but you do lose 5% power for each transfer. When starting out, I'd recommend some hobbyist steam engines directly on the quarry, with an aqueous acumulator to supply the water.
What worked for me best and what was the easiest way to move my quarry after use was to use Tesseracts and Electrical Engines. The Quarry is an advanced machine added by BuildCraft. It is used to automatically excavate a large area using Redstone Flux (RF). Main article: FTB Infinity Evolved A Quarry should be powered with at least 20 RF/t, though more energy will help it run faster. Its maximum power consumption is 1000 RF/t but its speed is not linear to the power input; a Quarry using 1000 …
OP could also mean the best way to transfer from the quarry to the AE system. Which in this case a Tesseract is the most efficient in speed, setup and despite needing mid game materials and infrastructure. They can either ouput it directly to their storage and export to the ore refinery or the other way around which would be better.
They default to the max of 100 MJ/t which would indeed burn through the cell very quickly. Turn it down to a number just a bit over your input power to get it to last a long time but also use up the stored power so you aren't wasting any. I assume you know you need to connect power from the MFSU to the electrical engines btw.
