I do have the same issue in the new areas under Umbar with a character that can track both ore and artifact nodes. "Find ore" shows nothing, "Find Artifacts" shows both ore and artifacts. The ore nodes under Umbar aren't deposits like on landscape, but something like "carts of forgotten ore".
